Wendy...gorgeous photos! You must have a good natural light source in your house? Curses to my old, dark, home...

And I am beyond happy to hear you got your very own puppy dog!!!!! Every girl should have a dog; some how, I ended up with five. At once.

Beautiful, beautiful photos Wendy. I especially love the photos of the plums, I think it is the contrast or should I say juxtaposition of textures. They look so cozy sitting there!

Kelsie - Look forward to seeing that post!

Lysy - Well, I use white plates and I usually put them right next to a window which is not in direct sunlight. That way I get lots of light without dark shadows. Winter is tough. I leave for work in the dark and return in the dark. All of the above photos are from the lighter months. :)

Lucy - Blush. Thank you very much. That means a lot coming from the beautiful photographer that you are.

Johanna - That's exactly the effect I wanted to achieve! delighted. :)

Gorgeous photos Wendy and they do bring back memories of most of the posts (I had to check a few) - your photos are so clear and beautifully lit - and so tantalising that I just want to reach out and grab some

It's the fleeting, pale, cool-edged quality of Northern Light that you capture so well, Wendy, and really, your photographs of food have always made me incredibly hungry. But, seen all together in, this way, the clarity and purity of each shot - no fussiness, just ingredients speaking for themselves - makes them look incredibly healthy, too.

It's precisely that mixture that makes you one of the very best, visually-speaking.

Oh, that kitchen shot. I keep coming back to that one.
