Spent an hour out in the garden this evening trying my best to get a picture of the swallows and housemartins that are nesting in next door’s shed. This one:

No chance. Nippy wee buggers. This was the closest I came:

Hooray for starstruck sparrows.

What a fun post! Can you guess who recently got a sparrow tattoo?
Wow, the last photo is a cracker. Swallows are a bit quick off the mark, you have more patience than me! x
Siri – Did you? Very cute!
Gen – Thanks honey! The last one is my favourite too.
The last picture is beautiful Wendy! I love the curling stalks and the details of the feathers. Who says sparrows are boring little birds?

I agree on that last photo, lovely! And your shrubs, gorgeous, makes the house look very fairytailish (which alwasy is a huge plus in my book:)
It’s so lovely to see sparrows again. We never seem to see them any more in suburban Sydney. Perhaps the native mynahs and parrots have taken their nesting places. Or maybe they’ve all migrated to Scotland!
You must have a cracking good camera!
