  1. My sister just directed me to your blog… we have alot in common as far as food, photos, and dogs :-) I intend to follow along, your photos are beautiful, as is the food!

  2. Mmmmmmm. I could tuck into a big plate of these! but I admit that I still like dried tomatoes. Maybe it’s because I home-dry them.

  3. how do you do the slow roasting ~ lots of oil and any herbs?
    how long do they need?
do some tomatoes work better than others?
sorry ~ lots of questions ~ what i really mean is – do you have a recipe?

  4. Karen – Hello and welcome! Just had a quick visit to your blog too. We DO have a lot in common. Lovely blog. :)

    Aforkfullofspaghetti – Don’t they just. :)

    Su-Lin – thank you!

Ozarkhomesteader – I’m more of a fan of the semi-dried ones. Could be converted by yours perhaps, though!

DM – I’m sure they are!

Pippa – Hello! Put a link to the recipe in the text but didn’t really make it very clear. Sorry! It’s here – http://aweebitofcooking.co.uk/2009/02/26/oven-dried-tomatoes/
    Enjoy!

  6. Thanks so much for the recipe for the oven-roasted tomatoes. I used it with some volunteer fruit (2-3 inches long and sort of oblong, probably reverted from last year’s hybrid.) Anyway, they were delicious right out of the oven – even the pre-teen granddaughters loved them. Last night I mixed some with olives, chopped onion and balsamic vinegar for a really tasty salad. We’ve been having lovely warm weather this week, so maybe I’ll be able to make another batch. Love your blog!

  7. So simple, so yummy, so having this for dinner tonight! I used to cook pasta with tomatoes like this almost every week but just came across your post and realised I hadn’t done so for years – time to rectify that! Thanks for the inspiration :)
