Well, if there is a Loch Ness Monster he won’t escape you and your marvellous camera. You just might catch him one day! In the meantime, what a fascinating picture this is with the ice looking just like a beak and the ripples on the water. I love looking at it.

You are maybe right Wendy! I am trying to wish the winter to an end. I am repeatedly checking BBC weather, for each degree the temperature rises and counting how many more minutes we are gaining in sunlight each week. I am a very, very sad individual!
Lovely picture though! Very evocative.
It really is rather cold in your part of the world just now!
Lovely image. Beautiful, in fact.
Wow! Talk about a one-off opportunity
That is such a good photo Wendy! I can see the head! It is warming up a bit here, we have past the icicle stage now.
Wow, what a stunning shot..I love it!
great spooky photo – did marco think it was friend or foe – or just not worthy of attention?
What a great photo Wendy. That’s really quite eerie.
Another terrific photo. What an amazing sight!
May not be THE monster, but you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s some kind of beast, for sure!
Ice formations make for some beautiful images. This is beautiful 🙂
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve loved looking at your recent photos. They make me long to return to Scotland.

Wow – love the icicles 🙂 You have a great eye for a good photograph – it’s inspiring me to look around more carefully when I’m out and about!
Pia – Thank you!
Lucy – It was cold. Properly cold. It’s now a damp and crap just-above-zero. Prefer frosty days. 🙂
Sophie – It was a very unusual find!
Holler – Tell me you aren’t pretending winter is over already? You’re setting yourself up for disappointment, methinks! 😉
Violet – Very glad. 🙂
Johanna – Once he’d figured out it wasn’t going to throw a stick for him, he wasn’t interested.
Kathryn – I thought it was a bit eerie too…
Antonia – Isn’t it?
Aforkfullofspaghetti – Agreed. Very odd looking.
Maryann = Thank you. 🙂
Mandy – 😀
Jules – Oh good. Couldn’t ask for more.
Wendy – The ripples were caused by Marco paddling in the water, waiting for a stick to be thrown!
Lysy – Get a dog. Since getting Marco I’ve been out and about in fields and woods and by lochs a hundred times more than I used to be!
Oh wow, that’s beautiful.

It’s rather looks like Nessie…. Perhaps an errant offspring?
Happy New Year!
What an incredible photo!
Congratulations on the well-deserved No Croutons Required win!! 🙂
