  1. Wonderful pics Wendy. I love them all but the last 2 are special. I especially like the very last one, the hills going right back into the distance are amazing. 10/10 again.

  2. Deb – It really was. 🙂

    Antonia – See you soon!

Gale – It’s a Panasonic DZ18. The new version (which my Dad just bought) is DZ28, I think. We’re both really happy with the cameras.

    Holler – 🙂

Wendy – Had to hold Marco back in that last one. He was dying to jump into the water!

    Pia – Great Sunday. 🙂

    Heather – 🙂

Lucy – And a Happy Monday to you.

Kelsie – Quite a fuss being made, isn’t there? I’m just jealous though. We haven’t had as much snow as normal these last couple of years and I’m missing it terribly!

  3. Yes, it’s a beautiful area, always has been, but unfortunately….the new kids have arrived!!! The old historic Inn has been changed into a plain , souless overpriced business venture. Once the meeting place of all things rural…..weddings , funerals, games nights and galas….and just a gathering place. both winter and summer. Now, we have to pay through the nose for stuff that sounds posh…..served by snooty staff, who could’nt tell you where the bus leaves from, let alone give you any local history or information!!! I hope the visitors don’t judge this cold barren hole as a step into our lives. We are much warmer and more human than this!

  4. Aforkfullofspaghetti – A fair bit was!

Davi – Ah, you’re talking to a turnip lover here!

    Sylvie – 🙂

    Suzler – Thank you!

JennDZ – And you too, Jenn.

    Bev – Thank you!

Isa – Hello. Do you mean Dores Inn? I’m not from Dores (live in Inverness but from Aberdeenshire) but I’ve actually had the opposite experience there. Whenever I used to go the food was truly awful and the staff, though not rude, were not friendly. Since being taken over by the folk who own The Storehouse the food has been delicious and reasonably priced and the staff have been exceptionally friendly. Maybe I’m mistaken and you mean somewhere else? Or maybe we’ve just had different experiences of the same place. 🙂
