I am a Brit expat currently residing in Houston, TX. We have lived in Aberdeen twice, and I love your blog/photo’s. I dream of returning one day – and recognising many of your featured places makes me appreciate the beauty of Scotland even more. Thank you for a beautiful site Wendy. We recently rescued a Scottie from shelter here (how funny is that!), so she say’s a ‘Hi’ to Marco!!.
glad to hear the move is going well – that pic of the cookbook shelves is tantatilising – I want to look closely at all your books – and even browse a few!
Holler – The cookbook shelves are one of my favourite things too!
Lucy – Just need to finish painting my old house to sell then the Easter holidays begin and I’ll be doing just that. π
Alison – Thank you!
Cindy – Very glad you enjoy the blog. I enjoy writing it too. π Marco sends his woofs to your wee Scottie. Lovely dogs. Stubborn as Scots too!
Johanna – Bet my fatigue is nothing compared to yours new-mum. Come over and browse anytime.
Heather – I don’t. In fact, I’ve never heard of them! The jars are full of lentils, pastas and grains. Oh, and muesli.
Christina – Think I have too. For the next few years at least. This house, unfortunately, doesn’t belong to us so we’ll have to move out at some point and buy (build?) somewhere. Unless the owner could be persuaded to sell…
Loved seeing all these pics round your new home. The view through the window towards the loch was great. Were the 2 sheepdogs summing up their new 4-legged neighbour! Hope you soon have wonderful spring weather to get out and enjoy everything.

I do love your cookbook shelves, they made me go ohhhhhhh! And the view, well that is absolutely stunning π
Welcome to your new (old) home!
The red vase shot – glorious composition. Rest up and get out walking with your camera!! XX

Things are coming along! Isn’t nice to feel “home”?! Do you have soy nuts in one of those canning jars?
Cheers,
*Heather*

Lovely to see a peek of your new home. I love it that you have Stephanie Alexander on your shelf on the other side of the world π
Congrats on the move! Off to bonny Scotland myself tomorrow, I cannot wait. Cheers David
And Bill Granger! What a lovely young man. He even remembers my Lucy.

Antonia – thank you. π
Wendy – Me too! It’s bloody freezing here just now. π¦ And a very happy birthday for tomorrow!!! Hope you have a lovely day. x
AOF – It was a recommendation from our Lucy actually. One of the best buys ever.
David – Hope you have a great time!
Yvonne – He always seems like such a lovely, relaxed person on TV and I do like his recipes very much. Where does he remember Lucy from??
Wow. That view. Every day from your window. Wow.
Looks so cozy. I love that you have your header logo in print up on the wall!
How wonderful of you to remember when you are so busy, thank you Wendy!

Bill Granger remembers her from Art School in Sydney.
Are you anywhere near Invermoriston? It looks lovely wherever it is.
Aforkfullofspaghetti – Yeah. Not sure I’ll ever get over it. π
Siri – My friend painted it and I love it!
Wendy – Hope you had a wonderful day!
Yvonne – Ahhh. That’s fun. π
Claire – About half an hour away, just north of Inverness rather than west. π
