This week I travelled to I travelled to Poland with sixteen teenage history students and then I moved house. Both were very exciting; both were lots of fun and both were physically and emotionally exhausting. The moving is an ongoing affair but I have photos of the trip to share with you.
Shall post them in the order I saw them. 🙂
beautiful photos – I love that painted car – wish my car looked that that though I don’t know I would want it so tiny.
sounds like interesting times – hope those school girls didn’t keep you up all night and best wishes for moving house
meant to also ask if that barbed wire is from a concentration camp?
Wonderful photos!
Thanks for taking the time to post them so we could tag along!
Good luck with the move…

Great photos. I hope you and your students had as much fun in Poland as I had had in Scotland last year.
Beautiful photos!
I absolutely LOVED Krakow. Did you have any good eats? I didn’t really but it was a while and I wasn’t really with ‘food people’ and I didn’t research it so I deserved all I got to be honest.
Wonderful photos. Were these taken with your Lumix? Always look forward to your photos.
Gorgeous pics as always Wendy!
Fantastic photos. My son is planning to go next summer to Europe with a stop in Krakow with his friends. This summer he is going to Costa Rica. Krakow unfortunately is one city I missed on my travels. Your photo compositions are so well done!
Greetings from Canada Wendy! I always love seeing the world through your lens – but realized I should TELL you how much I like your blog – as I have never left a comment.
In this grouping I especially like how it almost appears that the palette of colors on the car and building are carried over into the picture of the leaves on the ground…nature’s art.
Beautiful pics Wendy, I only discovered your blog recently and have been very much enjoying all your great images and foodie inspiration…

Great photos Wendy!
Lovely photos! Looks like you had a wonderful time!
Johanna – The school girls and boys were perfectly behaved. Was very proud of them. And, yes. That was taken in Auschwitz. An even more harrowing day than I had expected.
Lee – Thank you!
Michal – We all had a wonderful trip and every single one of us would return. 🙂
Jill – Thank you!
Helen – We had a few very good meals indeed. The last night in Tsara (located in main square and in the Jewish quarter) was exceptional though. I had the wild mushroom soup followed by the rabbit followed by the fruit and vodka sorbet. Just fantastic.
Jose – They were indeed. I do love my Lumix. 🙂
Tee – Thank you!
Weeknightingale – He’ll love it. It’s a beautiful city with a very relaxed atmosphere.
Shine – Your comment “I love seeing the world through your lens” made me really happy. Thank you.
Squirrel – Hello! And thank you very much for the kind words. 🙂
Pia – Two of the students who came to Krakow with us are actually from Gdansk. They spoke very highly of it too!
Swapna Raghu Sanand – Thank you very much. 🙂
Maninas – Thank you! Enjoyed taking them.
David – We really, really did.
What a wonderful post, I love the photos, though I was expecting more photos of different food in krakow but I still enjoyed watching the photo. What do you call that food that is hanged? It’s the third photo from the top. Is it a food or a spice for the spice rack?
