  1. another one…another marathon!?
Good, achievable (ah-SMART!) goals -am thinking of mine. But so I don’t want to fail, have stupid things like try different baking receipes…don’t think that can really count! Happy New Year!

  2. I need to read more non-fiction as well. I just finished River of Doubt by Candice Millard, which is about former US president Teddy Roosevelt joining an expedition to explore an uncharted river in Brazil in the early 1900s. It was a great read, with interesting people, and I learned a lot.

  3. Excellent resolutions, Wendy. I read River of Doubt too and found it an amazing book. A couple of other non-fiction reads I loved: An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor, Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (stupendous), almost anything by Bill Bryson (especially if you like to laugh uproariously), and One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Happy New Year to you!

  4. I’ve got Unbroken stashed for a present for a friend, and am having trouble staying out of it! I’d better get myself a copy.
